The Global Economic Education Alliance envisions a world where democracy and markets are supported by the development and use of high-quality activity-based pedagogy for teaching economics, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. Through programs for teachers and other educators, GEEA provides educator-to-educator experiences that support cooperation among people worldwide.

GEEA, a non-profit Illinois corporation founded in 2011, grew out of the Cooperative Education Exchange Program (CEEP) conducted by the Council for Economic Education (CEE at www.councilforeconed.org) from 1995 through 2011 with federal funding. GEEA founding board members helped to design and conduct CEEP and other international economic education programs through CEE since 1992. When federal government funding for the CEEP programs ended in 2011, GEEA was founded to continue the important mission of promoting global economic and financial literacy. Contributions to GEEA are tax deductible and may be sent to the address below.
